I found an old container of "Prestone II Winter Antifreeze Summer Coolant" in my garage that looks like it's from the 80s. ...I just bought some air line antifreeze and a new air dryer filter. I was wondering if this is the correct way to do it. First I'll take the outlet line off the compress and put a certian amount (unknown, haha) into the line and let it go through the dryer and into the takes and what not....then about a certain amount of time (also unknown....)ill change the air dryer filter. Now for some reason the antifreeze just disappears. The oil dipstick doesn't show antifreeze in there. I ran the car the other day and it over heated because it was bone dry. I have put in the 50/50 green stuff and probably should be using the red, but the green mix does work. I can't find a leak and there is no puddles in the driveway.Make sure the antifreeze is in a safe, closable container to prevent spills. Contact local recycling centers or service stations for more information on local disposal. Do NOT pour antifreeze down the drain. Do NOT pour antifreeze outside.
